ALT Tag

The ALT tag is used to provide alternate descriptive text in place of images. IN2U may allow you to change the ALT tag of an editable image. ALT tags should be short and descriptive.

Aliasing, E-mail

Forwarding e-mail from one address to another address. For example you choose to purchase your own domain for your Web site address, www.mycompanydomain.com. You already get e-mail at johnsmith34251@yourExistingAccount.com and would like to be able to receive mail addressed to info@mycompany.com, or webmaster@mycompany.com at your current address.

Animation

Moving pictures. Most Web animations are created using the GIF file format. Animated GIFs are widely supported by Web Browsers. Animations tend to be large files.

ASCII

American Standard Code for Information Interchange. A code for representing alphanumeric information. Text files using the ascii code are the easiest format to work with. ASCII does not allow for text formatting, like bolding, or alignment. Most Word Processors allow you to save your documents as ASCII text. To save a MSWord document as ASCII, select "Save as" from the "file" menu, and save the document as "text only."
